Microwaved Coffee Mug Molten Chocolate Cake

1Microwave unsalted butter and bittersweet chocolate in mug, stirring often, until melted, about ⏱️ 1 minute .unsalted butter: 2 tbsp, bittersweet chocolate: 1/2 oz (chopped)

2Whisk sugar , large egg , unsweetened cocoa powder , vanilla extract and salt into chocolate mixture until smooth.sugar: 2 tbsp, large egg: 1, unsweetened cocoa powder: 1 tbsp, vanilla extract: 1/2 tsp, salt: 1/8 tsp

3In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour and baking powder . Whisk flour mixture into chocolate mixture until combined.all-purpose flour: 2 tbsp, baking powder: 1/4 tsp

4Microwave at 50 percent power for ⏱️ 45 seconds .

5Stir batter and microwave at 50 percent power for ⏱️ 45 seconds . Batter will rise to just below rim of mug.

6Press a few chocolate chips into center of cake until chocolate is flush with top of cake.a few chocolate chips

7Microwave at 50 percent power for ⏱️ 35 seconds . Cake should be slightly wet around edges of mug and somewhat drier toward center.
